BIOGRAPHY

Swedish producer DJ Seinfeld, better known as Armand Jakobsson, rose to prominence in 2016 as part of the lo-fi house scene alongside producers including Ross From Friends and Mall Grab.

His deliberately lo-fi production techniques and raw emotionality quickly helped define his early sound, earning attention from listeners, critics, and contemporaries alike. His debut album, Time Spent Away From U, received plaudits from Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, and gained support from artists including Flume, Flying Lotus, Bonobo, and Four Tet.

Since then, Seinfeld has become a globally in-demand DJ, playing sets everywhere from Glastonbury to Coachella, Warehouse Project, Sónar By Night, and MoMaPS1. He has shared stages with artists including Jeff Mills, Stormzy, Underworld, and Bicep, and accompanied Disclosure on several dates of their US tour.

In 2018, he was chosen to curate an edition of the iconic DJ-Kicks mix series, joining a select group of DJs that includes Moodymann, DJ Koze, and Nina Kraviz. The following year, he launched his Young Ethics label with the Galazy EP, which received support from The Blessed Madonna, Gerd Janson, Jamie Jones, and Maceo Plex, and was preserved for cultural record in the Swedish Royal Library’s Archive For Sound.

Over the years, Seinfeld has remixed artists including Disclosure, Omar Souleyman, George Fitzgerald, Bob Moses, Honey Dijon, SHOUSE, Pendulum, Prospa, MJ Cole, Baltra, and more.

Touching on everything from UK Garage to down-tempo house, ambient, and breaks, DJ Seinfeld’s music balances emotional depth with dancefloor energy, continuing to evolve while retaining the feeling that first brought people to his sound.
