Sheldon Sidney Thompson, known as Sid Le Rock and also releasing under the Pan/Tone moniker, is a Canadian electronic music artist, composer, and producer whose career spans nearly three decades.
Influenced by the DIY electronic movement of the late ’90s, his prolific career includes releases on Kompakt, Mute Records, Shitkatapult, Hafendisko, and Beachcoma, as well as remixes by DJ Koze, Acid Pauli, Brett Johnson, and Gui Boratto.
He has also remixed artists including Depeche Mode and Placebo, while co-founding Beachcoma Recordings in 2009 to support innovative electronic music.
After two decades living in Berlin, Germany, Sid is now based in Toronto, where he continues to blend electronic and organic sounds.
Most recently, he released Invisible Nation, a deeply personal album exploring and celebrating his Indigenous heritage.
